Top civil servant summoned before MPs to explain government’s Rwanda spending – Channel 4 News

The top civil servant at the Home Office has been summoned before MPs on Monday – to explain the full costs of the government’s scheme to send asylum seekers to Rwanda.

Matthew Rycroft has already revealed that Kigali has been offered a total of £240 million, with another £50 million to follow. That’s twice as much as the Government initially suggested it would cost.
