ITV News presenter Sascha Williams has quit the channel after 21 years.

The 44-year-old broadcaster is leaving her broadcasting roles behind after a career she described as ‘one heck of a ride’.

Making the emotional announcement, Sascha wrote: ‘After 21 years (and by the look of it, about as many hairstyles) it’s time to bid farewell to ITV.

‘It’s been one heck of a ride, working some of the absolute best in the business.

‘Will miss them lots (Though probably not the 4am alarm).’

She accompanied her words with a collage of herself on screen throughout the years, which included her working on location and throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sascha became a permanent member of staff at ITV News in 2013, where she has remained for the past decade.

However, she began her career at ITV Anglia, where she worked as a production journalist from June 2003 until January 2006.

After leaving, she secured a reporting and presenting role, which she kept for three years before making the leap to freelancing.

As a freelancer, Sascha has remained a regular on some of ITV’s most popular programmes, including Daybreak, Good Morning Britain, and ITV News London.

She’s also been a frequent presenter on ITV’s 5:30pm News.
