Emergency services have been at the scene of a serious fire in Inverness.

A number of homes were evacuated after the blaze broke out at about 02:10 in a property in Tomatin Road in the city’s Hilton area.

Police Scotland said: “Emergency services are in attendance and a number of residents have been evacuated.

“Tomatin Road is closed and inquiries into the cause of the fire are ongoing.”
