Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey) contemplates a new life on the run with fugitive Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith) in Hollyoaks after she begs him to come with her.

Dilly, as fans know, is in hiding after she admitted to Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) that she killed husband Rafe (Chris Gordon) amid her plan to destroy her nemsis’ life.

Sienna was both appalled and devastated at the same time but the bigger shock came after when she discovered that Dilly is, in fact, her biological sister, with them both sharing a dad in twisted Patrick (Jeremy Sheffield).

Dilly has been at large ever since, with the police searching high and low for her, unaware that she’s right under their noses, hiding out in Cindy Cunningham’s (Stephanie Waring) flat.

Despite his reservations, Ethan agreed to help Dilly, knowing full well that such a thing could scupper any shot of him having a future with one true love Sienna, who wants nothing to do with her newest sister.

Dilly has been incredibly grateful to Ethan for his support, urging him to stay by her side no matter what. Ethan does just that, with upcoming scenes seeing him secure a way to get Dilly out of the country.

As a result, he bids her farewell and leaves the flat. Leela Lomax (Kirsty Leigh Porter), however, returns home and overhears a noise in Cindy’s flat.

Dilly hides out, hoping not to be seen. Leela believes it just to be Ethan, knowing he’s staying there, but she goes to investigate anyway. Will Leela find herself in danger? Or will Dilly get caught out?

The latter option seems unlikely as subsequent scenes will see Dilly left upset, with her head wound proving to be very serious indeed.

What exactly happens next remains to be seen but Dilly and Ethan are back in cahoots once more, with Dilly wanting Ethan to get his hands on Sienna’s passport for her! Ethan reluctantly does so, believing this to be the final part of the plan. Dilly, however, turns the tables once more, urging Ethan to come with her.

Hollyoaks without Ethan Williams?

I don’t know about you, but I don’t like the sound of it very much and, thankfully, it’s not on the cards as, after a heart-to-heart with nephew Mason (Frank Kauer), Ethan decides he’s staying put.

Dilly, however, turns the tables again, saying that she’s staying put too! A trouble-making icon, that one.

At the end of his tether, Ethan comments how Dilly doesn’t have any family in the village and, fed up, he does the right thing in spilling the beans to Sienna, admitting that he was harbouring Dilly – and helped her escape from the village.

Just how will Sienna react? Well, not very well I would imagine. And as for Dilly? The fugitive breaks into the school, where she proceeds to see deceased dad Patrick, who speaks to her in sinister scenes.
