When Claudette’ (Flo Wilson) arrived in Emmerdale, Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) thought she’d only be popping by for a brief visit.
However, after admitting to her son and Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) that she’s lost her home, Claudette’s trip to the Dales has now turned into something a little more permanent.
While Charles likes having his mum around – despite the odd challenge here and there – it’s become apparent that Claudette has been carrying a lot of secrets from her past and Charles’ childhood.
It turns out Claudette’s ex-husband, Victor, has been released from prison and soon, he’ll head to the village to try and win his family over.
Desperate to protect his mother, Charles vows to make sure Victor will leave as soon as possible.
As Charles develops a plan, Naomi (Karene Peter) is chatting to Victor, charmed by his ways.
Once Charles finds out what’s going on, he tells Victor to leave, which prompts a curious Naomi to wonder why he hates his dad so much.
With no choice, Charles decides to open up about his and Claudette’s past with the newcomer, but what happened?

‘I think being back in her son’s life and being around people I think she’s slowly learning to rein it in a bit and how to listen as well as talk’, actress Flo Wilson told us, explaining how Claudette’s arrival to the village will change her.
‘I think she’s just used to talking and not listening. She speaks her mind but she feels like she’s speaking it as in the truth and it’s better to be clear, but I don’t think she’s sometimes aware that she may hurt feelings until after she’s done it.
‘She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, but she does walk over people’s feelings and emotions.’
