George Knight (Colin Salmon) is set to struggle in the aftermath of a huge revelation about dad Eddie Knight (Christopher Fairbank) in upcoming EastEnders scenes, which leads to him making some questionable decisions.

Recent EastEnders scenes saw George discover that he was being manipulated by Eddie, who needs him to stand as a character witness in court as he stands trial for a racially motivated murder.

Upcoming scenes will see George confront Eddie over his actions, and finally learn the full truth about his childhood.

After agreeing to listen to mum Gloria Knight’s (Elizabeth Counsell) version of events, George finds it hard to cope.

Though he has his family around him all willing and ready to offer support, George feels as though he can’t confide in fiancé Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), and instead leaves ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) a voice note admitting that he wishes she was around.

In true Cindy fashion, she takes this invitation and runs with it – but doesn’t think to run the idea past partner Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) before hopping on a plane and cutting her trip abroad short.

Ian is particularly perturbed when she fails to visit him, and instead goes straight over to see George.

As George opens up about his anguish surrounding the court case and Gloria and Eddie’s lies, Cindy assures him that she will always be there whenever he needs her.

This is not the first time George has chosen to open up to Cindy before Elaine, having previously gone straight to her after learning that his parents had been paid to look after him.

With Cindy’s help, he eventually learnt that he had been involved in a process called child farming, before being officially adopted by Gloria and Eddie.

After confronting Gloria and Eddie, he discovered that they had lied to him about his heritage, and though they eventually found peace with one another and the situation, this new revelation left George reeling.

It is no secret that there is still somewhat of a spark between Cindy and George, and with Cindy being a notorious two-timer, it is definitely within the realms of possibility that these two could end up breaking Elaine and Ian’s hearts with their antics.

As George continues to lean on Cindy for support during this incredibly difficult time, could it lead to a reunion between the once happily married couple?
