Daisy Midgeley’s (Charlotte Jordan) hen night took a disastrous turn when Christina (Amy Robbins) made a shocking revelation in recent Coronation Street scenes.

Things started to go downhill for Daisy when two of her school bullies showed up at the Rovers, having been invited as a surprise from Christina.

It became clear just how clueless Daisy’s mum really was when she assured Daisy that the girls had changed, diminishing the way they had treated her as a teenager following the death of her little brother.

It wasn’t long before Samantha and Ellie showed their true colours, and Christina sticking up for them broke Daisy’s final straw.

Before long, the trio were being escorted out, but not before Christina dropped a bombshell on the bride-to-be.

Furious at having been uninvited from the wedding, Christina revealed that the wedding was doomed to be a disaster, due to a family curse.

She revelled in explaining how no woman in their family had ever had a happy wedding day, and Daisy would be no different.

Despite Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) attempts to calm her down, a poorly-timed tripped fuse was enough to convince Daisy that what her mother warned may be right.

Fans will be aware that Daisy’s wedding day is in fact set to go horrifically wrong, with Christina’s words foreshadowing a traumatic event that will change lives forever.

Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still), the man who has made Daisy’s life a misery over the past few months, will crawl back out of the woodwork on the morning of her wedding.

Stalker Justin was last seen on the street being arrested for assault, after Daisy’s plan to get him out of her life for good.

However, he is set to take things even further as he attacks Daisy with acid on her big day.

Reflecting on Justin’s horrific actions, Charlotte Jordan told Metro.co.uk: ‘To do something like that, I don’t know how you could understand it.

‘It’s so evil to try and take away someone’s identity, I don’t even know how you could really start to think about something like that.

When it happens, she just focuses on the here and now – how to get to the hospital, how do I make this better?’
