Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) remain totally unaware that Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease in Coronation Street.
Paul’s life changed a few weeks ago, when he was told by a specialist that he has MND – which will end up taking his life.
Distracting himself from his reality, Paul recently decided to take on some dodgy jobs for Damon (Ciaran Griffiths) – one of which resulted in him getting arrested after he stole Rufus’ car.
Ignoring the fact that he may end up behind bars again, Paul tells Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) about a new drug he found on the internet that’s claiming to cure MND.
Sadly, after the specialist destroys Paul’s hope, he must turn his attention to his trial.
Meanwhile, Billy confides in Dee-Dee, revealing that he’s really worried about Paul and wants to know what’s going on.
As Dee-Dee heads to court, she wonders where Paul has got to.
It becomes apparent that he’s in Victoria Garden and is later spotted by Damon, who urges Paul to do the right thing, get to court and embrace the life that he has left.
Paul finally arrives but unbeknownst to him, Billy is also heading into the courthouse.
But how much will Billy here?
Dee-Dee will no doubt tell the court about Paul’s condition – but will Billy find out at the same time?
