Paris Saint-German have emerged as the new favourites for the signature of Mary Earps, with the Manchester United goalkeeper unlikely to extend her contract beyond this summer.

The Lionesses keeper has been attracting interest from a host of top clubs after her stellar past two years for club and country, which recently culminated in her winning BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year and receiving an MBE.
Earps has been at United since 2019 but looks set to leave in search of regular Women’s Champions League football.
And according to The Standard, French club PSG now look primed for a move for the 30-year-old, with Barcelona and Arsenal still interested.
Arsenal saw an offer in excess of £100,000 rejected on deadline day in the summer and were seen as the favourites to sign Earps this summer.
But their interest is reportedly said to have cooled in recent months, leaving the door open for Europe’s other top clubs to make their pitch to Earps.
United currently sit fourth in the Women’s Super League and missed out on their maiden appearance in the Women’s Champions League after losing to PSG in the final qualifying round in October.
Earps has not publicly confirmed her intentions for the end of the season but recently said she had been angered by reports which claimed she wanted to leave United before the start of the season.
‘I’ve remained quiet for a reason. I feel I’ve behaved really professionally and with a lot of integrity through this whole situation,’ the Lioness said last month.
‘What I will say is that I play with heart and passion in everything I do and I drive standards.
‘A lot of stuff that’s been put out isn’t true. I want to say more, but I can’t at this stage and it’s really hard for me to sit quiet when I see a lot of things that are not right.
‘I think it’s an injustice, but I know the appropriate thing to do is focus on my football and see what happens from there.’
