The Curious Bookshop Dedicated To All Things Alice In Wonderland

Nicknamed Bookseller’s Row, you’ll find Cecil Court tucked away in a secret alley just moments away from Leicester Square.

Among twenty-something secondhand bookshops and antiquarian booksellers, it’s a paradise for literature lovers. But head to one shop in particular and you’ll be whisked away to Wonderland! That’s one you probably didn’t bargain for on your book-themed day out.

Alice Through The Looking Glass is a treasure trove full of gifts, memorabilia and rare editions of Lewis Carroll’s stories. There’s artworks! First edition books! Clothing! Stationery! Basically anything and everything Alice related. There’s also a mini museum featuring some extra special items that, unfortunately, aren’t for sale.

It all started when Co-Founder Jake Fior discovered Sir John Tenniel’s original hand painted ‘Through The Looking Glass’ chessboard. It was adorned with his gorgeous illustrations – the earliest known examples of Tenniel’s work for Alice’s Adventures. This discovery got Jake all excited and caused his imagination to run wild – ultimately it led to the creation of the entire Alice Through The Looking Glass brand and boutique.

Inside the store, they even have their very own resident white rabbit! His name is Harley and we thoroughly recommend following him wherever he goes… He’s taken over the front window and you can’t say fairer than that now, can you?

Look at him, he’s even got all the merchandise. Maybe he knows where the real looking glass is…

Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?
